Pony Group

Setting up youth for a successful future with horses and riding.

Pony Group is focussed on teaching riders to care for and ride ponies across a variety of disciplines to develop a well-rounded young rider. Sessions will rotate over the term between arena riding, hacking in the hills and pony theory.

Groups are based on ability so we can tailor sessions to suit each group and riding in a group is a great way to keep the sessions fun and social.

We aim to develop empathetic young riders that are passionate about learning to ride and having fun.

How does Pony Group work?

Pony Group is run through 1 hour sessions on a 10-week term basis. Each session is $70 and you are required to commit for the full term.  We run sessions throughout the week and weekend.

After an assessment lesson you will be given options for a group by our instructor, based on the rider’s ability and the availability within our groups.

How do I join Pony Group?

Before confirming a place in the Pony Group, we require riders to do an Assessment Lesson so our coaches can place you in the right group and match you up with the right pony.

"Chelsea is the most exceptional coach. I have been having lessons with Chelsea for many years now and she has taught me so much. She has improved my riding immeasurably - I always feel so empowered by her lessons. I cannot recommend Chelsea enough!"

"I have been training with Chelsea for a little over a year now and the improvement in my riding in that short time has been all down to her teaching style. She takes the time to explain and show aids so you know why you're asking your horse to do things. I cannot recommend Chelsea enough - her advice around training methods in and out of the saddle has made me a better equestrian."
